Tesla has started working on a strategy to strengthen its hold in the Indian market. The company has said that it will set up 5 thousand battery refurbishing centers across the country, with the help of which old batteries will be repaired and sold at half the price with warranty.
Tesla has launched the first refurbished battery brand ‘Restore’ in the country. Under this, there are preparations to open 5,000 centers across the country by 2025. Its headquarters has been built in Gurugram, while the original headquarters of the group is in Delaware, America. 500 centers of the company are already running in the country. The company says that we fully support campaigns like ‘Self-reliant India’, ‘Skill India’, ‘Circular Economy’ and ‘Sustainable Environment’.

The company has made a significant announcement regarding the opening of 5,000 battery refurbishing centers nationwide. Tesla Battery life will increase by 2 years
Tesla India says that the life of lead acid batteries can be increased with the use of Electro-Chemical Battery Enhancement Process (EBEP). Through this the battery life will increase by 1 to 2 years. Then this battery will be sold to the customer at half the price of a new inverter battery. Not only this, the company will also provide warranty on this battery.
Tesla 10 crore batteries get spoiled every year
According to an estimate, 10 crore lead acid batteries are scrapped or replaced every year in India. Its total cost comes to about Rs 40 thousand crores. Refurbishing and reusing these batteries will not only benefit the environment but will also help a lot in disposing of them. The company currently refurbishes 3 lakh batteries in the country and is delivering them to customers again.
